Spectacular and rare pair of mid-century oversize Italian bird lamps by Marbro in their original hand-painted finish on their original carved wood lotus leaf bases. Each lamp is marked "Italy" on the underside and each retains the original Marbro label.
Fully restored with new wiring for two standard bulbs. Lamps have new double socket clusters with brass fittings, pull chains and convenient inline switches on clear cords.
In very good vintage condition: the ceramic is pristine; the wood bases have some splits and paint loss. This patina adds to the beauty and authenticity of this big pair of statement lamps.
